Laser

We provide a laser cutting and engraving service – you send us your files and we deal with the rest! After years of experience of laser cutting we have extensive knowledge of techniques and materials to help you achieve the perfect product.

The laser can cut a wide variety of materials in a range of thicknesses, the most common being acrylic Perspex, plywood, MDF, cardboard, paper and engraving laminates. If the material you are looking is not listed drop us an email and we will let you know what is possible.

Cutting

Vector Cutting is the most common application of laser machines and with 0.01mm accuracy it is easy to understand why. The laser’s computer will follow the vector drawn line to cut all the way through the material you have chosen. You prepare the file and we program the laser machine to the specific speed and power required to accurately cut through the material, with minimal charring and marking of the material.

Engraving

Vector engraving, also known as surface cutting, kiss cutting or scoring is a method of drawing onto the surface of the material. The laser’s computer will follow the vector line to etch only the surface of the material.

Raster Engraving, also known as Infill Engraving is a method of marking the surface of the material of an area. The laser’s computer will infill the shaped vector line which you have drawn in the files to etch only the surface of the material. The laser machine reads only outlines not infill, so although your raster engraving will be infilled the file must show only an outline.

We program the laser machine to the specific speed and power to accurately mark the material without cutting all the way through.
